My first web launch with the new company. Look at that code, isn't it gorgeous?

very nice, indeed.

how 'bout incorporating that stellar code into your own blog site. so that when i click on the link to your new web launch...it opens a new window...so, i don't have to hit the stupid back button :)

I cannot commit such web sins (unless directed by people that pay me money). But to be fair to my bloggings visitors...let's hear it: new window or keep the back button?

Um, yeah, that was a web sin from 1999. I thought Supah Geeks were supposed to be able to adapt and evolve with the times? So, what do you say - will you take direction from someone who pays you with ogre-sized peanut M&Ms?

Okay, smarty web pants who uses table tags with no remorse...do tell, has Jakob changed his mind (and PDF's don't count...)?

God forbid I contradict the Great Dane of web sins, but in 1999 very few people were familiar with the internet. And tabs didn't even exist then. With more user familiarity AND the capability of windows opening up in tabs, I say pffffffft to Jakob.

And I do have table tag remorse. But much like wetting the bed, I have no idea how to fix it.

Look what you've done j-2...

While I'm aware of increased user knowledge since 1999, the issue did make the cut in 2005 as well. And until the king of usability grants the practice of disabling the back button as perfectly legit...no new window for any of you (well, unless you all really want it)!

true...new internet explorer with "tab" functionality is a sweet thing. so, then make your blog as such, that when any link takes you to another web site, it opens up in a new tab. i mean, if i click on an external site link from your blog, then i start navigating 4, 5, 6, or more pages into the site...i have to either retype your website into the url field, or hit the back button a gazillion times.

therefore my vote is obviously: new tab/window

and, web sins are for dummies who have nothing better to do with their time than to come up with things known as "web sins".
